In 2024, «Invian» successfully implemented an advanced intelligent transport system on segments of the federal highway A-280 in Taganrog. Thanks to modern technology, two strategically important intersections now operate under smart traffic control.
Project Goal
Transform standard traffic controllers into smart devices with adaptive control functionality.
Solution
At Intersection #1, a trigger-based adaptive control system was deployed — the secondary direction is activated when a vehicle enters the designated zone.
At Intersection #2, a gap-seeking algorithm was launched — the system dynamically adjusts green light duration based on traffic volume: the more vehicles detected, the longer the green phase.
What Was Done
A U-shaped support structure was installed, along with dynamic traffic information displays (TPI).
The advanced adaptive traffic control solution «Invian — Smart Intersection» was deployed at both sites.
High-precision «Arken-SM» radar sensors were installed and put into operation.
